Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani may not have gone official or confirmed their relationship, but if the rumour mills are to be believed then these two are head-over-heels in love with each other. We all have seen their on-screen chemistry in their recently released movie, and it was loved by all. Imagine what their off-screen chemistry would be like? Well, dating or not, these two actors are often spotted with each other. Like today, the actress was spotted heading inside Sidharth’s building.
Nothing can be hidden from the paps and something like Kiara Advani meeting Sidharth Malhotra can never go unnoticed from the lenses of the photographers. The Shershaah actress was spotted wearing a maxi dress with a floral pattern as she got down from her car. Without turning towards the paps and stopping to pose for the shutterbugs, the actress headed straight inside Sid’s building. We wonder if this meeting is for yet another film or just a casual quality time meet.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra recently wrapped up Mission Majnu with Rashmika Mandanna. Apart from Mission Majnu, Sid is also shooting for Indra Kumar’s slice of life comedy, Thank God, which features Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is gearing up for a 2022 opening, on the big screen. In November, Sid collaborates with Dharma on a yet-untitled aerial action thriller, which will mark the directorial debut of Pushkar and Sagar. The actor is also in talks for the official remake of Allu Arjun’s hit film, DJ.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani will next be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo opposite Varun Dhawan.
While Kriti Sanon has been at it winning applauds through her performances in Bollywood, her younger sister Nupur too is following in to her footsteps by making an entry in showbiz. While she began her journey as an actor through a music video and is hoping to land a role in an interesting film project, Kriti opens up about how much her sisters loves to be on camera.
In a recent chat with Bombay Times, Kriti, said that Nupur loves posing for camera and she puts in extra effort every time she’s getting clicked. Says Kriti, “Nupur likes to get clicked. When there are festivities at home she sees to it that she’s dressed well as per the occasion before she gets snapped.”
Sharing an example, Kriti further adds, “During our festivals, she will be all decked up in traditional outfits. Like, say during Rakshabandhan she was all dressed before she came on camera to tie rakhi. On the other hand, I don’t bother so much. I can tie a rakhi in my pajamas also.” To this, Nupur replies saying, “We are celebrating Indian festivals toh we have to dress up that way, right? Also pura lockdown nikaala hai without any celebrations and excitement, ab mauka mil raha hai to dress up toh kyu na kare?”
Though the two have an age gap of five years, Kriti and Nupur bond like good friends. Through the lockdown they supported each other “mentally and emotionally”. Nupur says, “Kriti is like my sounding board. She gives me a third person’s perspective during tricky situations or sharing opinions.”

“When I read in newspapers that more than eight lakh children failed in Hindi in a major state like Uttar Pradesh, I was appalled to see the condition of the language that binds the people of the country,” This is what the popular PRO turned event organizer and producer Keshav Rai, who has also co-written the script of the short film Sitambar 14 written and directed by Rajesh Rathi said on September 14 which is celebrated every year as the Hindi Divas.
Without wasting any time, the short film sets out to show how a young woman (Snigdha Akolkar) is all set to commit suicide by jumping from the terrace of her building because she is worried and sad that the national language is not being taken seriously by the people and how she is saved in the nick of time by Mishraji a neighbor of hers (Ashok Banthia)
The short film 14 Sitambar sets out to aim to raise awareness among the people, especially children and teachers, about the importance of Hindi language. The film drives home the poignant but subtle message that more than eight lakh boys and girls studying in various schools actually have failed that too in a major Hindi speaking State like Uttar Pradesh and today the pathetic condition of the national language Hindi that binds the vast majority of the people of the country is appalling to say the least.
The suicide of that woman (Hindi) is not a spur of the moment suicide. It’s a well thought out step and she is still contemplating whether she should end her life now or wait and tolerate for some more time. So, while she is in a dilemma on the edge of the terrace, Mishraji comes and rescues her leading to their debate. Finally, though she cuts her wrist with a glass bottle to end her trauma, she survives to tell her tale so that we can pull up our socks and buck up before it is too late.
To indicate her mental state, when we see her going up the stairs, she is cool. She is not in a hurry. Even on the edge of the terrace, she is standing still and pondering ! Not many films have been made on any ‘language’ as such till date, but even if they have been made, they must be in a documentary format but the USP about this particular short film is that the director has treated this subject as a fiction to engage the audience and make an emotional impact and I should say that to a large extent director Rajesh Rathi has succeeded in his mission.
Snigdha Akolkar fits her part like a glove and literally you empathize with her character while the versatile actor Ashok Banthia also has scored with his role. Vijayendra Vijay is just about okay in a small part as Mishraji’s son. Mushtaq Khan also makes a big impact with his light role as the cop. I only trust that the hard hitting short film will reach the maximum people and travel through the political corridors to give ‘Hindi’ the constitutional status which she deserves and also hope, in the 75th year of our independence, that we can proudly say that Hindi is our national language.
I was thrilled to be a part of a show like this: Pranati Rai Prakash on the thriller entertainment Cartel
With over a million followers on Instagram, Pranati Rai Prakash is a model and actor last seen in Imtiyaz Ali’s 2020 rendition of Love Aaj Kal. Pranati was a semi-finalist in the Miss World Pageant and a MTV India’s Next Top Model 2. Pranati who plays one of the central characters in ALTBalaji’s thriller entertainment Cartel spoke at length to JYOTHI VENKATESH about her character and the show.
Tell us about your character ?
I am essaying the character of Sumi, who is zestful, loves her family, and is driven to become an actress. However, she is also emotionally volatile and much pampered as she is the youngest sibling in the Angre family. Hence the most loved one. Playing this character has given me different moods to explore as there are many highs and lows in the character’s life. Playing the required deep emotional involvement was exciting for me.
What made you say yes to the show?
It is a great show to be a part of. After reading the script and learning about my character, I instantly said yes. I was thrilled to be a part of the show with this genre with an ensemble of such brilliant actors. So it was a given that I had to say a yes to a show like this.
Cartel has been in the making for a really long time. Did it get exhaustive at any point?
Oh yes, it’s been in the making for a while, but I understand the situation when the plot is so big. Also, lets not forget that the lockdown created unprecedented issues. The show has been a great success and I am stomped with the love that has been pouring in
How was it shooting for the show? Your fondest memory from the sets…
It has been a mixture of emotions. There have been emotional scenes which I performed for which I had to often drown myself in a sad zone. To give a perfect shot, I would often listen to sad songs and cry. Also I had lost my mother last year while I was shooting and returned for a shoot the day after. I remember the love and warmth I received from everyone on set and that means a lot. They were indeed a family. I have fond memories of listening to Jeetu dada’s poetry, getting together at Tanuj’s farmhouse, delicious food from Rithvik’s place, and our music session post our shoots. It was indeed a great time
What is that one message you would like to share with your viewers and fans?
My message to the viewers and my fans is, “Be ready for something kickass! Shower your love and support. Also, do watch Cartel on ALTBalaji. I was thrilled to be a part of a show like this: Pranati Rai Prakash on ALTBalaji’s thriller entertainment Cartel.

Producers- Mili Devendra Rai and Shashi Radheshyam
Director- Aayush Saxena
Star Cast- Jeetu Shivhare, Samridhi Chandola, Mohan Kapoor, Chitrashi Rawat, Rajendra Gupta, Sunita Rajwar, Mukesh S. Bhatt and Ravi Kishan
OTT Platform- Shemaroo OTT
Lots of Old World Charm!
ShemarooMe, the OTT platform from the house of Shemaroo Entertainment has joined hands with BiiggBang and announced an exclusive licensing agreement, expanding their catalogue even further. Urf Ghanta is a warm and fuzzy drama that revolves around the life of a rotund middle aged guy called Ghanta (Jeetu Shivhare),who is on a quest to find his life partner but his world is turned upside down when he learns a startling truth about himself. In the process, he happens to find himself and learns to love himself.
The film will make you smile, laugh, cry and most importantly act as a much-needed hug in the form of a film and instantly remind you of the good old days of heartwarming films where we could enjoy the antics of Amol Palekar as the common man. Jeetu Shivhare endears himself to the viewer as an earnest actor who gets into the skin of his role with the ease of a veteran and unfortunately his quota of problems never seem to come to an end right from the first frame when the film starts unfurling when he urinates while he is sleeping till the last frame when he is hauled up when he visits a brothel
Tough the film has a short duration of just around an hour and a half, there are scenes which seem to go on without an end and you get stifled at time when the film is on but you not only enjoy the travails of the fat young man who is 40 plus when he searches the nook and corner for a girl to get married but there are also times when you also start empathizing with the guy. Chitrashi Rawat scores in her cameo appearance as a brothel girl Lolypop who is assigned the task of teaching him what sex is when he visits a brothel for the first time.
What on earth prompted an actor –M.P like Ravi Kishan to take up a cameo role in this film, that too as Lord Bholenath in the avatar of the common man beats me hollow. To put simply in a nutshell, all that I can say is that he does not add any dimension to the film in terms of his role but looks like the producers have cast him only to add a star value to the film which otherwise boasts of only new and proven character artistes like Mohan Kapoor, Rajendra Gupta, Mahesh S. Bhatt etc.
While I should give credit to the incisive and sharp dialogues in the film by Jeetu Shivhare which also boasts of brilliant and soothing music by Parag Chhabra and Yash Kapoor , what is I find detestable is the attempt by the producers to plug in many producers quite blatantly like Dettol , Maggie, Colgate etc.
Finally, I would like to sum up the film by stating that it has a certain old world charm to it and it is certainly heartwarming to the core, though it is tacky, thanks to the low budget and lack of known stars to embellish the project
