Actor, producer and director Akashdeep Sabir will be next seen in Hotstar series The Night Manager in a pivotal role.

Speaking more about that he says,”I am playing a character called GV, Gurvinder, the attorney to Anil Kapoor. It’s an important role in an interesting show. Here an incident in the hotel results in an entire underworld international arms dealing outfit coming to light before the Night Manager  How and why the manager gets into the problem and gets closer to AK is what the series is all about that. The arms dealer boss is the superstar Anil Kapoor.

So many spy series are being made – how  is this different? 

“Firstly it’s an adaptation of a proven hit, and it’s also a massive show. We have travelled to Rajasthan,Shimla,Sri Lanka, Dubai and many more places and filmed the show. It’s a magnum opus and I’m sure people will not only enjoy it, but look forward to season two.” 

Sharing his equation with the evergreen Anil Kapoor he says,”He is one of the most talented and hard working actors. He is so dedicated to his work that it always seems it’s his first day in the industry. And he is now at an age where such matured roles are literally tailor made for AK. I’ve known AK for a long time and I must say he is one of the best actors to work with and a very very emotional person. He has a certain method towards his work and I have always observed that. We go back a long time.” 

Akashdeep, who has been in the industry for long time, feels OTT is here to rule. He adds,

“OTT will be the primary viewed content in this country and the world, followed by tv and then films. We would need to create some magic, perhaps back to the multi starrer days so we are forced to go to a theatre and spend money and watch a larger than life film. That time has come. For now, NIGHT MANAGER helmed by Sandip Modi Amd produced by Banijay for Disney+ Hotstar, is going to be a super duper show and I am looking forward to another rocking and even bigger season two.
