(2nd Feb, Thursday, Mumbai) The Rendezvous Rooftop at the Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba was the happy venue for a soirée of cocktails to celebrate the opening of Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2023.

Since it’s inception in 1998, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has been a remarkable platform for talented artists from diverse promenades to come together to restore the heritage of, as we know it Bombay.

Hosted by the Taj, in honour of Kala Ghoda Association, saw the presence of Brinda Miller (festival director), Asad Laljee, Ashish Shakya, Sorabh Pant, Anu Menon (comedians), Kunal Vijaykar (actor and television personality), Prachi Shah Paandya (Actor), Ila Arun and daughter Ishitta Arun, Abha Narain Lambah (conservation architect), Aneesh Bhasin, Nirmika Singh, Danish Hussain, Sonam Nair (director), luxury holiday wear designers Shivan and Narresh, artists Sudarshan Shetty, Sunil Padwal and Tanuja Padwal, Monica Wazirali and many more.

The room was full of applauses and cheer as everyone dove into nostalgia from the performances of singer Gaya, The Band of Boys and Leslee Lewis.

“We are thrilled the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is back after 2 pandemic years. Our first Kala Gala, hosted by the Taj Mahal Palace served not only the opening night of the festival, but also a celebration of Mumbai’s finest under one roof. From showcasing select acts who will be performing at the festival to bringing all the artists together, it truly became a show of support from the city towards its most beloved festival.” says Rohini Ramnathan, Content Director at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2023

This year makes the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival even more special as it regroups after a break of 2 years due to the pandemic. This year will witness Kala Ghoda becoming the stage for the reunion of the Colonial Cousins after a decade.
