‘Main Bharat Hoon’: Papon features in an inspiring new music video for National Voting Day

Ace singer Papon has voiced an inspiring new song ‘Main Bharat Hoon’ celebrating the spirit of Indianness and encouraging Indians to vote. Released on the occasion of National Voting Day by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the song has been sung in 12 Indian languages by leading singers including Papon, Sonu Nigam, Hariharan, Mika Singh, Alka Yagnik, K S Chithra and others.

Papon, who hails from Assam, has beautifully crooned the Assamese lines in the song. The talented singer is one of the top ambassadors of Assamese culture and music in the world.

The song ‘Main Bharat Hoon’ is written, composed and produced by legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai. Along with the 18 singers from across languages, top actors like Anil Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Sidharth Malhotra, Mohanlal, R Madhavan, Prosenjit Chatterjee and others also appear in the music video.

Papon says, “It’s amazing to be the voice of such a song that lets people know their vote matters. I want to express my gratitude to Shubhas Ji for his support and for having faith in me. I am totally honored to be a part of ‘Main Bharat Hoon’ along with such great talents.”

The song’s launch event was organised in Delhi with participation from all of the musicians who appeared in the music video and our honorable President of India Ms. Droupadi Murmu

Papon, who had a tremendous musical year with several popular releases and who turned producer in 2022, had a music concert in Guwahati and will have his next in Goa on February 2, 2023.
