Nitin Kumar Gupta’s ‘Love In Ukraine’ gets a U/A certification, set to hit the screens on May 27

Nitin Kumar Gupta’s “Love In Ukraine” will be released in theatres on May 27. The movie received a U/A certification recently, and the director is happy with the decision. He said, “I am satisfied with the censor board’s decision and happy that no political bias affected the process. All the battle scenes were left intact and none of the scenes with action and violence was cut.”

Touted to be the last movie to be shot in war-ravaged Ukraine, the movie revolves around an Indian Student and a Ukrainian Girl whose love story gets caught amidst violence and hatred. “Love in Ukraine” was shot in the beautiful locales of Ukraine before the country was invaded by Russia.

In an interview a week ago, Nitin had revealed that some of his cast and crew are still stuck in Ukraine. He said, “Lead actress Liza is still stuck in Dnipro, action director Yura is separated from his wife and daughter in Kiev, Lola and Oles are in western Ukraine, Ruslan and Boris are actually an active part of the battle at the moment. There are others too.”

“Love in Ukraine” features Vipin Kaushik and  Lizabeta Fainman in the lead role.
