Mumbai News Today Live Updates: Days after pockets of the city received nearly 100 mm rainfall, Mumbai woke up to showers today with the Met department expecting the minimum temperature to be at 26.99 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 29.81 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity is expected to be at 72 per cent. Due to pre-monsoon rain, the AQI fell down to as low as 50.0, indicating moderate air quality in the city. Mumbai is expected to experience a minimum and maximum temperature of 28.36 °C and 30.05 °C, respectively on Saturday.

According to reports, the early morning showers led to power outages in south and central Mumbai. Residents of Bhuleshwar, Tardeo, Mazgaon along with those residing in Mumbai Central reported prolonged power cuts.

Among top political developments in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the Lok Sabha election results in Maharashtra a “temporary setback” for BJP. “We will bounce back. What happened in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections was a temporary setback as the results were not up to our expectations. But then the electoral loss was due to ‘fake narrative’,” Fadnavis said.
