Here this edition she shares her hidden tales with Perfect woman.

How was the start?

To be honest, being married and being a mom to 2 kids, it was never easy to continue pursuing my dreams and passion. Like most women, I too suffered from postpartum depression, and let me tell you it’s inevitable. But I am a woman who strongly believes that if you lose your passion, you lose yourself and I knew I cannot lose the person I always was, the Monalisa who loves being fit and is a fitness inspiration and the Monalisa who loves to express her heart out through dance. My parents, my in-laws and most importantly my husband and my kids, they are my pillars of strength, who always encouraged me to be who I am. All their support and of course my will power to chase and fulfil my dreams had played the most important role right from the start.

Your Journey

My fitness journey, to be specific started in 2017, when I was pursuing my MBA. After my marriage there was a slight pause due to pandemic, it was the year 2020. Post my first pregnancy I did continue with workout and did not gain much weight then. It was during my second pregnancy that I gained almost 15 kgs. But like I said, I badly wanted to be back in shape and so restarted my fitness journey and today here I am in 2024 post 2 pregnancies, confident enough to have participated in a national level ( Voguestar 2024) beauty pageant and come out as one of the winners.

What do you like the most about your profession and your interests?

Professionally I’m an HR, and to be specific a Recruiter. I think the best thing about this profession is that it is such a noble job, I mean you help people find a job, which is the main source of their bread and butter.

And now coming to my interests- fitness, dance and fashion. In one word, they all bring me HAPPINESS. Fitness to be specific has taught me discipline, dance helps me express my feelings. Coming to Fashion, this has taught me to take care of myself.

Challenges you faced in your journey.

The biggest challenge is managing your daily schedule. As a mother it sometimes gets difficult to make time for yourself, to attend trainings etc (specific to my Voguestar journey).

But just like it is said, behind every successful man there is a woman, I believe behind my success, my husband and my father have played an important role. My husband has always been there taking care of our kids, when I was busy chasing my dreams. And my father, of course is the person from whom I get all this discipline from.

What is your source of inspiration?

Like I said I am a dreamer, and my will to live my dreams is my biggest source of inspiration.

How do you manage the professions together?

9-6 hectic corporate life, and if you do not follow what you love you can never be happy. It is very essential for people to realize this. This is what I stick to, I do what I love doing and hence I am here today managing work life, family together with my interests.
